For IEEE PES Day, an event was hosted at the University of Balamand (UOB) in Lebanon where students from two universities attended: BAU and City University of Tripoli.

IEEE PES SB Chapter University of Massachusetts Lowell celebrated PES day on April 27, 2018, with guidance and support from ECE department and under the supervision of Dr. Mufeed Mah’D in UMass Lowell. The event aimed at providing undergraduate and graduate students a platform to meet professional engineers in Power and Energy firms and to make them aware about the opportunities and scope in these fields.

With a view to inspire the next generation of engineers, IEEE PES ENIM SB Chapter, Tunisia Section had decided to celebrate the global PES Day 2018 with future engineers. It gave the students an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the renewable energy and its huge effects on the future of the humanity.

IEEE Student Branch of the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) organized an “Awareness Program and PES DAY Celebration” on 27th April for the undergraduates to promote IEEE PES, IEEE student branch and to give knowledge about the PES and PES DAY. The event was lead by PES ambassadors Dilan Munasinghe and Iroshan Rathnayake.

“Imperium 1.0” was the inaugural event organized by the SB chapter of PES in Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in celebration of Global PES day and it was lead by PES ambassador Pasindu Rathnayake. The event was held at the Faculty of Engineering, SLIIT on 28th April 2018.

IEEE PES UCET IUB Chapter in collaboration with IEEE Student Branch UCET IUB, IEEE Student Branch BZU and Student Branch KFUEIT celebrated PES Global day. The event was organized under the motto of “Working beyond the boundaries.”

Global PES Day was celebrated on 23rd April 2018 at Kumaran Conference Hall, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Kongu Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. Dr. T. Guna Sekar, Faculty Co-ordinator, PES welcomed the members for the PES day celebration and gave an insight to PES day celebration.

For IEEE PES Day, IEEE Student Branch Chapter of IIT Mandi in collaboration with IEEE PES-IAS Joint Chapter of Delhi Section, held several activities starting April 20th. One such activity was “IEEE Awareness Talk” which was delivered by Adil Usman, IEEE PES YP Representative, India supported by Dr. Bharat Singh Rajpurohit, IEEE PES-IAS Chapter Chair, Delhi Section.

IEEE G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) IAS-PES Joint Chapter, SB celebrated Global PES Day on April 17th. The event commenced at a very early in the morning at 7:45 AM.

With the aim for ‘More Power to the Future’, IEEE Bangladesh Section Women in Engineering (WIIE) affinity group (AG) in association with IEEE University of Asia Pacific (UAP) SB WIE AG celebrated IEEE PES Day 2018 at University of Asia Pacific, Dhaka, Bangladesh on the 28th April 2018 with the support of IEEE UAP SB.
