Hydro Ottawa and IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) are hosting an electric utility-centered Grid Modernization Workshop that will be held on Thursday-Friday, November 29-30, 2018 at the National Research Council (NRC) Canada Montreal Road Campus in Ottawa.
On November 29, the Workshop features presentations and a panel session with speakers and participants from major utilities. On November 30, the Workshop features field tours at the NRC campus of the Canadian Centre for Housing Technology (CCHT), NRC High Voltage Lab, and NRC Heating and Cogeneration Plant. Both the Workshop and the tours are open to all registrants.
On November 30, an Executive Meeting, open to sponsors’ executives, will be held to discuss grid modernization challenges, experiences, future plans, and broad strategies.
Managers, engineers and other professionals from utilities are most welcome and encouraged to attend the Workshop to lean about the current state-of-the-art in grid modernization, and to network with their peers.
