Meeting Description: Annual face-to-face[*] meeting of the Smart Buildings, Loads and Customer Systems Technical Committee held in conjunction with the IEEE Power and Energy Society annual meeting. The general business of the committee will be reviewed and discussed.

Linquan: selected chair, vice-chair, two secretaries
Linquan: hosted annual meeting
Linquan: preparing two task forces: “Grid-interactive Efficient Buildings to Enhance Grid Flexibility and Resilience”, “Achieving 100% Renewable Energy through Net Zero Buildings”
Linquan: another task force in early stage: aggregated demand response
Linquan: preparing a panel for 2022 GM
Ron: coordinate with Loads

Kyri: preparing GM panel, panel T&D

6. Working Group / Task Force Updates
A. P2418.5 Energy Blockchain Working Group
Ron: very active, more than 100 participants
Malia: preparing a guide, almost ready
Ron: Future direction task force published position paper on blockchain, Ron reviewed, Ron to follow up with Johanna on transition the effort to SBLCS
B. P2781 Working Group
Jizhong: started in March 2018, draft submitted Jan 2020, several rounds of review in Loads, Loads voted and approved last month
Malia: need SBLCS adcom approval
Johanna: need to circulate among adcom
C. P2783 Working Group
Jizhong: Started Dec 2018, Loads agreed on changes last month, preparing for the final modification
Ron: new PARS?
Jizhong: load forecasting, preparing the proposal
Malia: should submit to EPM too

A. PES GM 2022 Panels
QZ: same quota for GM, 12-hour
Ron: encourage subcomm to submit panels, Johanna and QZ to follow up with chairs
QZ to setup deadline for GM panels

Ron: SBLCS is the current sponsoring committee, encourage people to join the organizing committee
