IEEE Region 2 Young Professionals / Women In Engineering – RISE

Whether you are looking to rise in your careers or transition up into that first position from student to your first job, RISE is built to help you engage the right networks to advance career. Partnered with IEEE, local industry, and a great set of speakers and workshops, RISE is here as a pilot event to develop personally and professionally as a team.

RISE is a collaboration between IEEE Women in Engineering and IEEE Young Professionals.


IEEE YP/WIE RISE is going to focus on developing skills for students, Young Professionals (YP) and Women in Engineering (WIE) for getting new job or transitioning to next job with focusing on individuals early in their career.


To inspire and motivate the attendees to develop the skills and confidence to present themselves in a professional way to RISE to the next position as entrepreneurs or working professionals by directly transforming their lives via networking events, educational programs, presentations, workshops, competitions.


Topics covered will focus on early-career development. Our focus is to provide entry-level engineering professionals insider knowledge on developing, nurturing, and sculpting their careers. A mixture of carefully curated presentations, workshops, and panels will provide valuable information to attendees. Limited attendance ensures ample opportunity for knowledge transfer and productive networking.
