To enhance IEEE member sense of belonging and pride in being members, the HIC will actively seek to participate in Conferences and Region 7 events. For example, we will work with volunteers from the section hosting an event to have a booth, or host a workshop. We have already particiaped at EPEC 2010 (Halifax) , CCECE 2011 (Niagara Falls), Ottawa GM (2010), Montreal GM (2010), R7 fall and spring meetings, PES GM 2010 (Minneapolis), Sections Congress (2011), etc.
Our goal is to supporting membership development efforts, and to provide members yet another reason to remain IEEE members.

If you are interested in letting R7 members know about initiatives in Canada and abroad, we have a spot for you! You can participate by submitting to the IEEE Canada newsletter. the IEEE Canadian Review, or by volunteering to man a booth at a conference, section event or public event. It is a good way to get started.

For more detailed information we welcome to join our virtual community. Building an IEEE framework for humanitarian work will always be work in progress. Sharing you experiences will enrich what we can offer to others who will follow.
