IEEE Canada Student Activities

Student Member Grades
Two grades exist: Student Member and Graduate Student Member (GSM). GSMs are eligibile to hold IEEE volunteer positions beyond the local Student Branch and vote in general IEEE elections.

IEEE Student  Branch
The official entitiy at a university or college representing the IEEE.  Please note that there is no such entity called “IEEE Student Chapter”

Affinity Group
Examples include: Young Professionals (Formerly GOLD – Graduates of the Last Decade) and WIE (Women in Engineering)

Region
IEEE has 10 regions worldwide, and Canada is Region 7 of IEEE – also called IEEE Canada. See the map  below.
