Getting our Transactive Energy framework together

Our growing team is moving toward a path of action in structuring a Transactive Energy Guide that will compile insight, comprehension, and application of standards-based methods and systems that enable automated, market-driven energy services through transactive means. Any of the following quadrant charts (and additional suggestions from the workgroup) are offered for discussion on breaking out focused work sub- domains:

Example breakouts for sub-domain focus

Transactive Energy may be the early application that can bring the market-driven methods to bear on the access to this form of energy storage. One of the high visibility applications may involve managed charging for EVs.

Transactive Energy may become the “Operating System of the Microgrid” in allowing transition to and from both islanded and paralleled operation to continuously optimize the performance based on changing grid conditions.
