1. IEEE EX code Programming Challenge

EX code Programming challenges all coders to prove their mettle in Clash – a C/C++ coding competition which has seen some of the finest minds fight their way out through the three hurdles of Clash. Think you can program your way out of anything? Join this coding extravaganza and rediscover yourself. The event will be based on two levels i.e the basic and advance level. A specific number of teams will be filtered from the first round on the basis of their performance and points scored. Each team will consist at most of 2 members. It is up to the participants that whichever programming language they may use (C++, Java, C#). The team with highest cumulative points will be declared the winner team. In case of tie between multiple teams, time of completion will also be considered. All teams will be connected to our server through a common network.

Event Overview:

The event will comprise teams competing against each other to determine the best

programming mind. The participants will use common programming languages like

C, C++ and JAVA to prove their programming skills and abilities. The event will be

based on two levels i.e. the basic and advance level. The basic level will judge their

logic developing abilities and the advanced level will determine who can best

manipulate the concepts of advanced topics in programming, like 2-dimensional arrays, recursion, trees, linked lists, etc.

Objectives:

  • Providing a platform for the programmers to show their abilities
  • Building confidence amongst programmers to compete
  • Spreading awareness about advance level programming
  • Advancing the knowledge and expertise as indicated by continuing
  • education, advanced degrees, and/or professional registration
  • Recognizing of the need for, and an ability to engage in, life-long learning
  • Improving the ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern programming
  • tools necessary for programming practice

Terms and Conditions:

  • Each team will consist at most of 2 members
  • Participants should know the basic programming and data structure concepts
  • Participants can code the given statement in each of the following languages,
  • C, C++ and JAVA
  • Team with highest cumulative points will be declared as winner team
  • In case of tie between multiple teams, time of completion will be considered
  • as judging criteria
  • Use of books, notes, phones, or the Internet is prohibited, so as to ensure a
  • fair competition
  • In case of cheating, the perpetrators will be disqualified
  • Zero tolerance would be shown to mocking and vulgarity
  • In case of load shedding, extra time will be provided but if a team will not
  • save the code, event management team will not be responsible for it
  • In case of any technical issue, a substitute source will be provided

Softwares:

  • Turbo C
  • Dev. C
  • JCreater
  • NetBeans

Time:

  • 2 hours.
