TORMENTO:-

The inaugural event for the academic year 2017-2018, “TORMENTO” was organized by IEEE student branch on 6thJuly, 2017. TORMENTO had the major population of second year students of various departments. The event started around 4.45pm and ended up by 5.45pm. TORMENTO was conducted to serve as a platform for students to bring out their soft skills including the communication skills and general knowledge on current affairs through group discussions.

FRESHERS’ CARNIVAL:-

The second IEEE event for the academic year 2017-2018 “THE FRESHER’S CARNIVAL” was conducted on 9th, August 2017 by our student branch office bearers. The event commenced by 4.45 pm and ended around 6.20 pm in the evening. The ultimate goal of the event was to introduce the students especially the 1st years to the IEEE SB 29861 and to make them aware of the membership benefits of IEEE.

RUBIX CUBE:-

IEEE student branch office bearers organized a workshop on RUBIX CUBE solving. The workshop was kick started around 4.45pm and came to an end around 6.15pm on 7th August 2017. The workshop was organized to make the students practice solving the rubix cube within a prescribed time limit.

NI-LabVIEW:-

Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench is a system design platform for virtual programming. A hands-on workshop on the same was organised on 28th Aug 2017 from 4.45pm to 6.15pm by the office bearers of IEEE Students’ Chapter. WIE Chair and WIE Vice Chair conducted the workshop. The intension of the workshop was to feed the students with knowledge about the virtual programming. The workshop simplifies the hardware integration. The session was started with an introduction about LabVIEW.

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT:-

An Application Development workshop was organised by the IEEE Student Branch office bearers and the same was conducted by IEEE chairperson Mr.B.Sivaprakash of IV CSE on 06th Oct, 2017 from 4.45pm to 6.15pm. The workshop was to centralize the concept of developing an application using android studio. Mr.B.Sivaprakash of IV CSE started the session by stating the methods for developing an application using different software and then about the android studio.

SOCIAL MEDIA SIGNATURE:-

Social Media Signature, a seminar that explained about the background process of social networking sites was conducted by Ms P.S.Anujah of III CSE on 13th Oct, 2017 from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm. To explain the participants about the programming languages and databases used behind the social networking sites. The information regarding the programming languages that are used behind the social networking sites like facebook, instagram and waats app were taught.

INFOTECHNO:-

The IEEE event InfotechNO was conducted on 27th, December 2017 by our student branch office bearers. It was an informative event exclusive for II- year and III – year students of all departments. The event commenced by 5.00 pm and ended around 6.15 pm in the evening. The primary goal of InfotechNO event was to enrich the students in the field of computer science and to develop their cognitive skills. The event also had an impact on the volunteer ship, courage, the general knowledge, the sense of timing and humor of the students in soft skills.

TECHNICAL TREASURE HUNT:-

The office bearers of IEEE student chapter conducted the event ” on 05 January 2018 exclusively for 1st year students of various departments. The event was scratched around 5.15 pm and came to an end around 6.15 pm. The event was headed by our branch counselor. The main aim of the event “TECHNICAL TREASURE HUNT” is to enhance memory capacity and their ability to work as a team .

GYANMITRA’18

SOFT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FOR ENGINEERS:-

The IEEE WORKSHOP SOFT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FOR ENGINEERS was conducted on 16TH, FEBRUARY 2018 by the resource person Mrs.Rajeshwari, Department of Management Studies, Pondicherry University. It was a general event for both boys and girls of various colleges. The workshop commenced by 9:30am and ended around 4:40pm. The ultimate goal of the WORKSHOP   was to develop soft skills that are required for an engineer so that they can have sound knowledge about SOFT SKILLS.

MATRACE:-

The IEEE event MATRACE was conducted on 17th, February 2018 by our student branch office bearers on the day of GYANMITRA. This event was exclusively meant for recognizing student’s skill in the MATLAB. The event commenced by 9.30 am and ended around 2.00 pm in the afternoon. The ultimate goal of MATRACE event was to enrich the students in the field of MATLAB programming.

TRANSMETRON:-

The IEEE event TRANSMETRON was conducted on 17TH, FEBRURARY 2018 by our student branch office bearers. It was a general event for both boys and girls of various colleges. The event commenced by 10:00am and ended around 1:00 pm. The ultimate goal of TRANSMETRON event was to test the students on knowledge about Transmission.

LETS MAKE ENGINEER:-

The IEEE event LETS MAKE ENGINEER was conducted on 17TH, FEBRURARY 2018 by our student branch office bearers. It was a general event for both boys and girls of various colleges. The event commenced by 1:30 pm and ended around 3:00 pm. The ultimate goal of LET’S MAKE ENGINEER event was to find test the students on circuits and microprocessors.

MISSION MICRO:-

The IEEE event   MISSION MICRO was conducted on 18th, February 2018 by our student branch office bearers.  The event commenced by 1.30 pm and ended around 3.30 pm in the evening. The ultimate goal of MISSION MICRO event was training the students to lead in their logical thinking qualities. The event mainly focused on testing on the team work, analyzing skills and knowledge of the students on microprocessors.

PHOTOSHOP:-

The office bearers of IEEE student chapter conducted a workshop on “PHOTOSHOP” on 27 February 2018 exclusively for 1st & 2nd year students of various departments. The event kick started at around 5.15 pm and came to an end at around 6.15 pm. The event was headed by our branch counselor. The main aim of this “PHOTOSHOP” workshop is to teach the students about clipping, editing, cropping etc. They were also trained to handle the extended Photoshop version and many more things in Photoshop which they are unaware of.

EXPLORING PYTHON:-

The IEEE event EXPLORING PYTHON was conducted on 20th, March 2018 by our student branch office bearers.The event explored the powerful concepts of Python and its advantages over C and C++.
