On February, 23, 2010 the Delegation of Darwin’s Grove Company, USA including director and founder of company Mark Kapij visited ICS. The research groups of ICS that has young IEEE scientists presented the goals and results of their research work. Mark Kapij and his colleagues presented the projects of their company where they are creating software for analysis and collection of scientific data for investigations, improving the quality of images using genetic algorithms in mobile technologies, intelligent web search of goods as well as college admissions analytics. 17-th and 18-th February 2010 TNEU’s trade union was held chess championship among employees. Event was attended by 13 participants from various faculties and departments of the university. Winners were determined in the personal and team competitions. Orest Kochan (IEEE member) and Andriy Melnyk (both are Ph. D. students of ICS) shared victory in a personal competition.
