About The IEEE Student Branch was founded in 1998 in Ternopil State Economic University. It’s number is 60581. It consists of students from Computer Information Technologies Faculty and PhD students which are graduates from this faculty. Some of them also work in Research Institute of Intelligent Computer Systems, which is a part of the Faculty, as well. Also our students took part in different INTAS, NATO, CRDF and NSF projects.
Our Faculty of Computer Information Technologies was founded in 1994. The Faculty provides the western Ukraine with specialist within the following areas: Computer Systems and Networks, Economic Cybernetics, Automated System Software, and Specialized Computer Systems.
The Research Institute of Intelligent Computer Systems was created in 1984. It has different scientific directions. The Institute has its own Groups. Students of our Branch belong to some of them. These are the Intelligent Sensor DAQ Group, Group of Web-based Systems, Intelligent Robotic Systems Group, Intelligent DAQ & Measurement Systems Group, Group of Knowledge Base and Ontology, Intelligent Distributed & Cyber Security Systems Group, Metrology and Standardization Group, NN and Parallel Computing Group.
