Title: How consumer product like Google’s Pixelbook benefit from NVMe Storage?
Abstract:  This talk will be focused on the new 11.5x13mm PCIe NVMe BGA SSD and its application in consumer hardware product. This BGA SSD offers many advantages over other existing flash storage solutions. The talk will cover its key features, standard progresses, potential applications, and challenges for wide adoption. e.g. Google Pixelbook and other products.
Bio: Zhiping Yang is a senior hardware manager in Google Consumer Hardware Group. Before he joined Google, he worked in Apple, Cisco, and Nuova systems. His research interests include signal integrity and power integrity methodology development for Die/Package/Board codesign, high-speed optical module, various high-speed cabling solution, high-speed DRAM/storage technology, and high-speed serial signaling technology. He has published more than 40 research papers and 17 patents. His research and patents have been applied in Apple iPhone 5S/6/6S, Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus 6K/4K/3K, and Cisco Cat6K products. He is a senior IEEE member and received 2016 IEEE EMCS Technical Achievement Award. He obtained his Ph.D. from University of Missouri-Rolla and his B.S. and M.S. from Tsinghua University, Beijing.
