An exciting 1-day conference & meetup for IEEE Young Professionals & Students in Seattle, Vancouver BC, and Portland. On Saturday July 29th 2017, over 50 YPs will meet in Bellevue, WA at the Red Lion hotel to network, socialize, discuss workplace issues, and use effectively use IEEE to further career development and personal endeavors.

Why & Who should attend this 1-day conference:
IEEE Members who identify themselves as Young Professionals or Students in Vancouver, Seattle, and Oregon Section. YPs in different regions are welcome to attend. In a world where everything is connected, personal relationships and professional network is extremely important. This 1-day conference helps IEEE YPs and Students grow their network and discuss workplace issues like “How to Manager your Manager” while learning more about IEEE related resources.
The purpose of this event is to expand borders for PNW Young Professionals and foster growth with relevant activities & discussions to: Inspire, Enable, Empower, and Engage YPs.
The Mission of the 2017 Cross Section 1-day Conference is to engage and energize YPs across Seattle, Vancouver, and Oregon. This will be executed by increasing awareness of IEEE through IEEE specific training, present discussion topics relevant and valuable to working Young Professionals, create a culture of camaraderie among IEEE members through social activities and networking, and deploy YPs so they can be more active and engaged in their own communities.
Registration & Fee
Each attendee (YPs & Students) must register for this event. The registration fee is $50 which includes social activity on Friday July 21st, coffee, snacks, and lunch on Saturday.
Funding is available for those who are commuting 2+ hours from Seattle. There are 20 total rooms available for check-in Friday July 21st and Checkout on Saturday. Requests can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Availability is based on first come, first serve and on-need basis. The first 10 requests will get individual rooms. The next 20 requests will need to share a room with another individual.
