Part Time Faculty Needed: Electrical and Computer Engineering

Electrical and Computer Engineering, Part-time Faculty

DigiPen Institute of Technology, Redmond

The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, WA invites applications for part-time faculty.

Detailed Description:

Interest and ability to teach undergraduate electrical and computer engineering courses and laboratories is essential, and experience with embedded systems and/or programmable logic is desirable. An interest in academic research with student involvement is preferable. Faculty in the department conduct research with undergraduate students in embedded systems, remote sensing, and signal processing, which is often incorporated into student project coursework.

DigiPen is a small, private university in Redmond, WA within the Seattle metro area and one of the most rapidly developing technology hubs in the world. The Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering program is focused on embedded systems and includes team-based projects in each semester of the program. As students develop through the program, they have increasingly more creative control over their projects and are responsible for component selection, design, system test, and implementation of their own hardware and/or software system. Design constraints that are encountered in industry are followed, such as use model, cost, power, and portability. These projects complement rigorous coursework in computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. The Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering program is accredited by ABET-EAC.
