18th July 2019: Nanyang Technological University and IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Singapore Chapter are joint-organizing a DLP seminar on grid modernization highlighting environmental regulations and growing cyber security concerns when introducing integrating distributed energy resources and comprehending greater demand variability. The invited speaker Associate Prof. Jianhui Wang from Southern Methodist University, USA, will present the technical issues in implementing these technologies and corresponding potential solutions. PDU Credits will be awarded to attendees (number of credits is still pending). Participants are required to register and make payment. Participants from academia, the registration fee is $50, Industry is $100, and Students is $10.

18th June 2019:
IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Singapore Chapter is organizing a DLP seminar to provide basic principles of power flow control theory, an overview of the most commonly used power flow controllers, and future trends. The presentation will be delivered by Kalyan K. Sen, PhD, PE, MBA, Fulbright Scholar, and of particular interest to all utility power engineering professionals. The audience will hear from an expert who actually designed and commissioned a number of power electronics-based FACTS controllers since its inception in the 1990s. The seminar is free and participants is qualified for 3 PDUs by Professional Engineers Board.
