The management of the biennium 2017-2018 welcomes all.
Our team assumes the commitment of the IEEE to promote innovation and technological excellence in
benefit of humanity, and reaffirms the objectives set out in the IEEE 2015-2020 strategic plan
● Expansion of dynamic communities to help people around the world to share,
collaborating, interacting, debating, and engaging with each other.
● Promote forums for discussion, development and dissemination of competent knowledge
related to traditional technologies, while concentrating resources to serve the
professionals working in emerging and disruptive technologies.
● Encourage humanitarian efforts to use technology to solve the most
the world.
● Assist in public policy through practical and innovative recommendations.
Given these objectives, we have put some specific actions that we intend to develop with the
help of all:
● Survey on development in robotics in Brazil.
● Organization of monthly meetings to discuss activities to be carried out
promoting interaction among chapter members.
● Organization of BRASERO and BRAHUR events during the year 2018 and ICAR in 2019.
● Creation of a new page for our Chapter with CMS support for collaborative editing
of content.
● Expansion of interactions with other entities and Brazilian associations related to
robotics and automation, including other chapters of the IEEE RAS, the Special
Robotics from SBC, SBA and ABENGE.
● Defenses of interests related to robotics and automation with class entities, such as
CREA and to entities for the promotion of research such as CNPq and CAPES.
● Continue promoting dialogue with companies related to the areas of robotics and automation in
our region.
● Encourage other scientific and scientific events related to the area in Brazil.
We put ourselves at the disposal of the community to discuss and to add new actions for the
robotics and automation in Brazil.
