Machine Learning Event by Dr. Arindam Das
November 15 @ 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
IEEE Spokane is pleased to host Seattle-based speaker Dr Arindam Das, with a presentation on the use of machine learning to improve treatment in the challenging arena of multiple myeloma therapy. Machine learning uses now range from facial recognition to self-driving cars, and are rapidly advancing in other areas. Dr Das has partnered with a medical company, All4Cure, to bring this fast moving advance into the practice of current medicine.
The talk: Dr Das will discuss All4Cure’s developing knowledge sharing platform and the machine learning approach used for generating recommendations. Some recent case studies will also be presented which will illustrate the benefits offered by the platform. The platform — developed in partnership with his All4cure colleagues — now has over 600 registered participants, including 350 myeloma patients and 100 clinicians and researchers. The platform process includes amalgamating information extracted from the de-identified medical records of the patients, which is then utilized to generate personalized treatment recommendations, as well as personalized treatment dashboards and other visual aids.
