Biography:
Thomas L. Marzetta, IEEE Fellow, is Distinguished Industry Professor in the ECE Department at the New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering. He joined NYU in 2017 after spending 39 years in three industries: petroleum exploration, defense, and telecommunications. He is the originator of Massive MIMO. Recognition for his achievements includes the IEEE Communications Society Industrial Innovation Award, the IEEE Stephen O. Rice Prize, the IEEE W. R. G. Baker Award, and an honorary doctorate from Linköping University.
