Academia Obscura – The hidden silly side of higher education

November 9 @ 15:15 - 16:15

An Academia Obscura lecture is not your average lecture.
Over the course of a highly amusing hour, researcher and professional procrastinator Glen Wright will take you on a tour through his cabinet of academic curiosities, exposing the hidden silly side of higher education.

Glen Wright is an academic. Sort of. He started his PhD in 2012 and is yet to finish. In the meantime, he started Academia Obscura, a blog about the lighter side of academic life, now a book. Glen, who was once described by the Chronicle of Higher Education as “an unlikely figure”, is a researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI) at Sciences Po in Paris.
