About Us

The Technical Community on Real-Time Systems (TCRTS) of the IEEE Computer Society addresses systems issues in real-time systems. Real-time systems are systems in which its temporal properties are essential for reliability and correctness; the example applications include embedded systems, control systems, monitoring systems, and multimedia systems. The IEEE TCRTS promotes and facilitates the exchange of research results and development in the areas of applications, databases, distributed and parallel systems, formal methods and timing analysis, networks, operating systems and middleware, programming languages, scheduling and resource management, security, and verification and validation of real-time systems.

IEEE Computer Society Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Statement

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are central to the goals of the IEEE Computer Society and all of its activities. Equity at its heart is about removing barriers, biases, and obstacles that impede equal access and opportunity to succeed. Diversity is fundamentally about valuing human differences and recognizing diverse talents. Inclusion is the active engagement of Diversity and Equity.

A goal of the IEEE Computer Society is to foster an environment in which all individuals are entitled to participate in any IEEE Computer Society activity free of discrimination. For this reason, the IEEE Computer Society is firmly committed to team compositions in all sponsored activities, including but not limited to, technical committees, steering committees, conference organizations, standards committees, and ad hoc committees that display Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

TCRTS view on EDI

The TCRTS fully endorses the IEEE Computer Society EDI policies. We seek to encourage under-represented minorities (URMs) by gender or geographical bias to fully engage in TCRTS-sponsored events. We also seek to promote activities that enrich, enhance, and enable diverse communities, to achieve equity and diversity of submissions and contributions by all communities. We support the vision of a research life that is compatible with everyday life (in particular, family constraints). We target the removal of barriers of any kind that prevent participation in our research community. We aim at broadening the participation of scientists from all countries of the world regardless of political views or religious diversity.
