Host of RTSS 2024 Wanted

 Dear Real-Time Systems Community,

The IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS) is the flagship conference on real-time systems. After a few turbulent years, we are looking forward to returning to a more standard schedule and are soliciting proposals for hosting RTSS 2024.

Resuming to our regular rotation, with RTSS 2022 to be held in North America and RTSS 2023 in Asia, RTSS 2024 is slated to be held in Europe. Preference will be given to locations in Europe; however, if we receive an insufficient number of nominations from Europe, other regions will be considered as well.

At this point, we are looking for informal proposals (an email suffices) that indicate the proposed location and the local organizer team. A budget is not required at this point, but information concerning potential meeting spaces, hotels, travel connections, tourist attractions, etc., would be useful.

The TCRTS Executive Committee will review all submitted proposals, and will invite a set of proposing teams to submit a budget-planning spreadsheet and a pitch deck once we have final numbers from RTSS 2022, the first hybrid RTSS, to base the financial planning on. Those submitting the selected proposals will be expected to attend a virtual meeting of the TCRTS Executive Committee and make a short presentation concerning the location they are nominating.  The winning proposal will then be selected by a vote of the TCRTS Executive Committee.

Proposals should be submitted to me at cdgill@wustl.edu no later than November 18, 2022. Please consider volunteering to host RTSS 2024!

Thanks and best regards,

Chris Gill

Chair, IEEE Technical Community on Real-Time Systems (TCRTS)
