The IEEE International Multi-Conference on Systems,

Signals and Devices 2015

 

The International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals and Devices 2015 is a forum for researchers and specialists in different fields of electrical engineering departments from leading reserach centers and universities around the world to present their research results and to share experiences with other attendees. On behalf of International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you to participate in SSD’15. Since 2001, SSD has grown substantially from a brand new conference with a strong vision to the SSD of today, dedicated to the advancement of electrical engineering research fields and their practice.

 

IEEE SSD 2015 is organized as a multi-conference that includes the following four conferences.

Each conference will take place within the framework of SSD 2015 and will include keynote lectures by eminent scientists as well as oral and poster sessions.

RAMCOM 2014

International Workshop on Recent Advances on Machine-to-Machine

Communication

June 2-5, 2014, Hasselt, Belgium

In conjunction with the 5th International Conference on Ambient

Systems,Networks and Technologies

(ANT-2014)

This workshop will focus on Machine-to-machine communications that are considered as a key technology to the next service revolution. It is expected that by the end of 2020 there will be over 50 billion connected devices to the IoT world-wide. Almost any kind of these devices will be allowed to be seamlessly integrated into a large-scale Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication environment. On the other hand, M2M technology is expected to open doors for new spectrum  of applications and services including e-health and biomedical sensor networks, telemetry, surveillance, transportation, healthcare, utilities, remote maintenance and control, vehicular technology and smart cities, smart grid and advanced smart metering. The workshop is aimed to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to present their research activities, address and discuss challenges, proposed solutions and platforms for M2M communications.
The workshop accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings published by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series on-line and will also be indexed by Thomson Reuters’ Conference Proceeding Citation Index and in DBLP. Authors of selected best papers will be invited to submit an extended version to international journal special issues. ICCS 2013 International Cloud Computing School

Overview

The International School of Cloud Computing ISCC 2013 will take place in Tunisia from 15 to 19 December 2013.

ISCC 2013 is the first school in Tunisia jointly organized by the Higher School of communication of Tunis and National School of Computer Science. ISCC 2013 aims at addressing advances in research in the areas of Cloud Computing and virtualization and provides a forum for researchers, students and professionals to exchange, discuss, and share their experiences, ideas and research results about theoretical and practical aspects in these interesting fields.

Cloud computing known as an IT environment that includes all elements of the IT and network stack, enabling the development, delivery, and consumption of Cloud Services. The flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of cloud computing provides tremendous business opportunities to customers. The goal of Cloud Computing is to consolidate infrastructure, and share resources among the cloud service consumers, cloud partners, and cloud vendors in the cloud value chain.

The resource sharing at various levels results in various cloud offerings such as infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), platform as a Service (PaaS) and software as a Service (SaaS).

The program of ISCC 2013 does not only include theoretical lectures, but also some practical workshops.

 

Goals

  • Provide a basic survey of the current research works and challenges on Cloud Computing.
  • Present some practical case study.
  • Provide a good opportunity to meet people and distinguished scholars working on Cloud Computing.
  • Establish contacts that may lead to research collaborations in the future.

Overview

Mobile robots and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have enabled great potentials and a large space for ubiquitous and pervasive applications. Robotics and WSNs have mostly been considered as separate research fields and little work has investigated the marriage between these two technologies. However, these two technologies share several features, enable common cyber-physical applications and provide complementary support to each other.

The objective of this school is to bring together researchers from academia, and industry working in to both robotics and sensor networks areas to present and discuss recent advances and innovative ideas pertaining to these fields. RoboSense 2012 also aims to present a comprehensive state-of-the-art of the enabling technologies for the concept of mobile robots, Wireless Sensor Networks, intelligent transportation systems, wireless standard protocols, cooperative robots, etc. from the basic concepts to the latest achievement and the future challenges in the related research area.

 

The program does not only include theoritical lectures, but also ecompasses three hands-on labs: one lab on wireless sensor networks, one lab on robotic and one lab on the remote CONET testbed.

Goals

The goals of the RoboSense 2012 School are as follows:

    • Provide a basic survey of the current research works and challenges on mobile and cooperative robots, cyber-physical and sensor-based systems.
    • Provide a overview of the current enabling technologies for robotics, cyber-physical and sensor-based systems.
    • Provide a good opportunity to meet people and distinguished scholars working on robotic, cyber-physical and sensor-based systems.
    • Establish contacts that may lead to research collaborations in the future.

 

Audience

The expected audience are:

    • Post-graduate students, PhD students, and young researchers from universities: RoboSense 2012 will provide a very thorough and comprehensive background for young researchers starting their work in the areas of Robotic, WSNs and CPS.
    • Researchers and engineers from academic and industrial laboratories around the world.
    • Industrial that wish to discover the innovative applications of robotic, sensor netweoks and cyber physical systems.We expect hosting 100 participants.

Satellite Events

  • Demos & Posters session: This session will be dedicated to the demonstrations and presentations of preliminary and ongoing works of PhD students dealing with WSNs and CPS. Demo and Poster papers must be submitted to the session chair and must not exceed two pages.
  • Awards: Best Master/Ph.D. Awards: Ph.D. dissertations and Master theses already defended can be submitted to participate to the awards competition.
  • Industrial Exhibition: Industrial companies representatives will be invited to present their robotic and sensor networks products.
