Dear IEEE Vic. AP-MTT members
We have two events to kick off 2024 – on the 8th of April we have a talk by Prof. Shilong Pan who is an IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Distinguished Lecturer. The talk is on Microwave Photonic Radars: What can Photonics bring to Radars.
Our second talk is on the 18th of April and is entitled Ericsson and Telstra World-First High-Speed Capacity Link to King Island and will be presented by David Nicolas, Kym Chilton, Ben Williams (Telstra) and Martin Firus (Ericsson).
In the meantime, we are also thinking of organising some hands-on RF or microwave training sessions. In particular, making use of designs that were available for amateur and meteorological satellite bands. A call for expressions of interest will be publicized in the Section weekly eNews and if you would like to be part of this, or have some thoughts about it, then please do contact Les Davey (les.j.davey@gmail.com) directly.
