As an IEEE affinity group, we have a strong presence in Melbourne to support recently graduated IEEE members, bridging the gap between engineering student and professional engineer. We are an inspired and active team of volunteers who are working together with the industrial professionals to bring out technical seminars and awareness sessions, industrial tours, social and networking events etc.
You are welcome to attend our events, even if you are not a current member of the IEEE or IEEE YP. We do, however, encourage you to join the IEEE. If you are interested to join the team of active volunteers and to get leadership experience, please do not hesitate to contact us on Gmail, LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter!
The IEEE Victorian-Tasmanian Section, in association with its Young Professionals Affinity Group, is organising an Industry Networking Night, followed by a Panel Discussion, for the industry professionals of Victoria. The discussions will address important career concerns, like:
- Engineering jobs at risk in the next 5 years
- Technology areas of focus by 2025
- Adapting to the automation changes in the industry and
- How the IEEE community can support you overcome these challenges.
