We are delighted to present our single-track program, which gives the opportunity to attend all the interesting, encouraging and motivating talks and workshops of the IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit in Southampton. Starting with the Five-Course Gala Dinner at the Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa on Monday followed by a full day of technical and leadership talks and workshops, boosting your skills and knowledge with the great opportunity to enhance your network. This one-track program gives you the opportunity to learn about new technologies as well as improving your interpersonal skills to develop your career. We conclude the event in Winchester with women sharing their experience of success and an engaging panel discussion.
We decided on changing from the previous idea of separating the leadership and the technical track to merging both. We are delighted to announce that, for the first time, the IEEE Women In Engineering (WIE) International Leadership Summit will be held in the UK, from the 13th to the 15th of August 2018.
On an international level, the summit offers a rich community that provides professional development for female students in all disciplines. The summit will be hosted by the University of Southampton in Southampton, which is one of the most lively and dynamic cities in the south of England.
The 2018 IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit (ILS) mission is to empower women to choose their own career path and facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines. Our summit is dedicated to promote women in Engineering, Science and Technology and inspire girls around the world to achieve rewarding careers in engineering.
Building on previous themes, the IEEE WIE ILS summit 2018 is a three-day event that focuses on how to achieve inclusivity in diversity. It is designed in partnership with industry for those who are interested in the impact of lack of gender, ethnic and racial diversity on the profitability and success of organisations.
