Title:

Tour of Stanley Pauley Centre

Date:

Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 14:30pm.

Location:

Meet in EITC Atrium next to mini Hydro Tower at the University of Manitoba.

Abstract:

Dear Friends,

The “old” High Voltage Lab has been restored! Now known as The Stanley Pauley Centre, it houses three major laboratories: the Intelligent Power Grid Laboratory, the Electric Vehicles Laboratory, and the McMath High Voltage Laboratory as well as meeting rooms, offices and grad student space. We will be guests of the Faculty of Engineering.

Dean Jonathan Beddoes, or his back-up, will be available to provide a quick overview of how the restoration was enabled. There will be a chance to explore the renovated space with tech staff as your guides. As well, there will be coffee, tea and cookies to consume while discussions take place.

We will meet by the mini Hydro tower in the Atrium in the EITC (the Engineering Building) at 14 30, and then proceed to the Centre. Your best bet at parking during this time of year (exam time) is in the Parkade. The UofM web site has an excellent map.
