IEEE Charlotte April 2015 Update

Hello IEEE Charlotte members, 

Please welcome the new Chair for our “Young Professionals” group: Paul Knapp. Paul runs the testing lab at ABB High Voltage Cable Plant

  • If you are already a “YP” member through IEEE, then Paul will contact you.
  • If not, please send a note to and we will put you in touch!


The section holds regular meetings on recurring days of the month (plus a few ad hoc meetings). Always be sure to check our website or Meetup, as meetings listed here are tentatively scheduled.

  • 2nd Thursdays are Technical Meetings. Most are at UNC-C or at CPCC (central campus).
  • 4th Tuesdays are Facility Tours. Usually technical, always fun!
  • No meetings for July.

  • “Ken” the humanoid robot – (8/20 – note, not the usual day) – Jim Conrad
