IEEE Washington Section - Last Updated July 2017
This website provides information for IEEE members who are (or want to be) active in the Washington Section of the IEEE. The Washington Section includes the District of Columbia (DC), and parts of Maryland and West Virginia. This page contains a map that shows the approximate geographic extent of the section, based on ZIP codes. If your address is in one of these ZIP codes, you are in this Section. We want to help you get the most out of your IEEE membership!
For more information about IEEE, please visit the main IEEE website. At that site, the IEEE societies and communities page provides information about societies, technical councils and committees, working groups, sections, chapters, and student branches, from an overarching IEEE perspective. All of these groups are relevant to the National Capital Area (NCA – comprised of the Washington Section and the Northern Virginia Section), as our sections include local divisions of almost each one.
For information about the Washington Section’s various groups, click the Groups link in the menu. Our affiliate organizations, affinity groups, chapters, and student branches are enumerated there, including relevant contact information. For information about the Northern Virginia Section, which has much in common with the Washington Section, please visit the NoVA site.
